He came as a man
He came as you and me
He showed us how to love and live
Then he died upon a tree.
Not so hot on toeing the line
He never wrote a letter
But he lived and died as one of us
And now he lives forever.
This message might sound trite
Some say it is untrue
But many have died and live again
To herald this message anew.
